Our Story

Street to Kitchen is the dream concept of Chef Benchawan and Beverage Director Graham Painter. Having met while living in Bangkok, the two brought a piece of Thailand with them to the East End of Houston. 
Having initially opened in a former fried chicken space next to a gas station, Street to Kitchen has proudly garnered the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand two years in a row. In 2023, Chef Benchawan was named "Best Chef: Texas" by the James Beard Foundation. 
Now in their bigger East End space, the Painters welcome you in to their delicious house party with banging Bangkok beats.
